Black Rice Kheer, a delicacy to treat your taste buds!

Servings 4-5people| Prep Time 25 mins | Total Time 30 mins


INGREDIENTS


1 cup black rice ( black rice is rich in Antioxidants, Natural Detoxifier, a good source of Fiber, prevent the risk of Diabetes, prevent the risk of Obesity, protein Content, good for Heart Health)


6 tsp / Sugar (or as per taste)

1 cinnamon stick

2 cardamoms

Half liter milk

Few cashews

Few almonds

Few raisins

1 glass of water


DIRECTIONS


Wash the black rice four times, and add water. Put it on the pressure cooker and allow it to cook properly. 


On a separate utensil boil the milk, into that added sugar, cinnamon stick, and cardamoms (quantity as mentioned above). After a few minutes add the cooked black rice to the milk, and boil the mixture until you get a slightly thick consistency. Turn off the flame, and add cashews, almonds, and raisins on the top. Keep the Kheer for a few hours and serve cold.
