My special memories in Uttarakhand....
The state has set a benchmark in the world tourism industry by extending the methods of living a holistic lifestyle followed in ancient India. Thousands of people visit Rishikesh, Haridwar, and other parts of the Garhwal region in Uttarakhand to practice yoga and in search of peace and divinity. One of the most sacred yà tras -Chardham Yatra starts every year in May, covering four important holy Dhams- Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri.
"The Valley of Flowers" located in the Garhwal region is another spectacular place to visit. This valley is famous for meadows of endemic alpine flowers and a variety of flora. This national park is the home of many rare and endangered animals.
Towards the Kumaon region tourists come to spend the summer holidays from different parts of India in lake towns -Nainital, Sattal, Bhimtal, and Naukuchiatal. Uttarakhand has always attracted wildlife lovers with its enormous wildlife treasures and dense forests which provide thrill and excitement among visitors. Tiger sightings and a visit to Corbett National Park can't be missed out during a trip to Uttarakhand. Also can't miss gazing at elephant herds enjoying their freedom in the grasslands of the Rajaji National park.
The state has kept a lot more treasures and places for us to explore.
