Outdoor Gardening
Green peas, radish, turnip, french beans, carrots, spinach, fenugreek, coriander, dill leaves, mastered leaves, cabbage, spring onions, bathua are few veggies that I can enjoy this season fresh from our outdoor garden.
Our little effort to grow some seasonal vegetables in a small area of our house has given us some amazing time and experience. Daily lunch preparation consists of all these veggies in some form of curry or dried veg items. Sometimes a salad with peas, radish, beetroot, carrot, and corridor leaf, with a pinch of black salt and chat masala. A mixed herb vegetable dish is my all-time favorite. Which is normally cooked with herbs like spinach, dill leaf, bathua, khutura, sometimes Sarson ka saag with ghee, and fenugreek leaves with potatoes. Peppermint is another important herb in this outdoor garden along with long coriander and fish mint. These all herbs as sour chutneys can be prepared by adding 2 garlic cloves, a small piece of ginger, one chili, and lime. Another dish I like is methi matar malai (which includes garden fresh green peas, fenugreek leaves, and cream).

The garden also has some turmeric plants. I normally take a cup of milk boil it with a small piece of turmeric once a week, which is good for bone health and skin. A cup of fresh ginger tea is also in my daily routine as it burns fats and is good for digestion.
The outdoor garden has offered us many truly awesome benefits. The front garden has seasonal flowers that are blooming at their peak. The marigold, dahlia, roses, petunia, salvia are shining under the winter 🌞 sunlight. Green plants and succulent plants are looking best during this winter season. A cup of tea in the morning at the round table makes my day great.
The habit of keeping an outdoor garden with limited space is a healthy habit that I could think of. It breaks the monotony from my daily work and engages me more productively. In totality, it gives me a better lifestyle which keeps me motivated and allows me to think about healthy and balanced diet planning.
