It was the month of September and indeed the ideal time to visit the pink city of Rajasthan-Jaipur. I and my sister suddenly planned this trip and found ourselves in Jaipur on that bright sunny morning. We had a comfortable journey on the Shatabdi Express. This time we prepared the schedule for the short trip so that we could cover some of the important places in the city. We managed to visit Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, and Jal Mahal. We thought of taking an elephant ride in Amer Fort but we finally decided to take a jeep ride instead. The Fort is huge and mesmerizing, the overview refreshed our minds and took us through that era of history.

At City Palace, the museum has kept the history of the royal family alive, and truly amazed to see those treasures from the history of Jaipur.
We had a special Rajasthani thali for dinner, and also tasted dal bati churma. We bought a traditional jhola bag, a few pairs of earrings and two wooden camels as souvenirs and some pieces of memory of the historic city.
